I love moments like these! And I really love it that so many of my fans are loving this shot on my fb! So I decided to share it here too.

When it clicks!

Several things fell into place for this photo session, the only downfall was it was so hot that she really wasn't enjoying it and her hair wilted. But, the basket and outfit I had just found earlier this week and about two weeks ago, I got permission to use this porch and the house is up for sale. The outside is awesome, but the interior is so dated and the kitchen is barely enough room to walk through. It'd be great if someone could buy it and gut it and redesign the floor plan.
Anyway, the most expensive part of this session?! The flowers! They wilted too only moments into the session. I still think I got some great shots of my granddaughter, who soon will be 2. Course, you all know I will have to do another session in a month. I already have a couple places in mind for her birthday session.

The Fabulous Rummy!

I got a chance recently to photograph a dog! Well, it wasn't planned but I couldn't leave Gay's house without capturing a few of her dog who is just the sweetest, most fabulous dog. I mean really, without prompting, Rummy posed .. and posed ... and well you get the idea! Anyway, I've ALWAYS liked doing dog-ography (dog portraits) and I'd book them every weekend if I could. Especially at wonderful locations with awesome lighting like I had at Gay's home and especially if the dog is as great as Rummy!

Family moments revisited

Every time I look at this photo I smile. It's my nephews children about two years ago when we all were in Fort Lauderdale. It was just one of those playful moments that might have been missed or later in years forgotten if I hadn't caught it with the click of my camera. It's moments like these that make me appreciate family, life and the talent that I've been blessed with. Sometimes I take it for granted, well, not granted, but it's just a part of who I am. Other people look at my photos and seem in awe. Maybe that's the way I feel when I look at the work of other photographers who I'm a fan of.
The other two photos, well, same image, different processing, are of my nephew and his wife, Laurie. They have a third child now that I haven't seen and he's nearing a year old this fall! They sure grow up fast. I'm trying to organize my images and create a family library of books, but it takes a lot of time. Plus, I play too much on the computer when I sit down. Ha!
I posted these because I talked to my sister on the phone last night. Haven't seen her since this visit and I'm going to try and get her started back on the computer so we can stay in contact more.
