Available session dates are quickly filling. I have a few wedding dates still available. Complimentary engagement sessions are included for those who choose me as their wedding photographer. Call me for details. Sept. 29, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 are booked for weddings. That means I won't be doing any sessions on those days. Other dates are beginning to fill up fast for children's birthday portraits and holiday fall photos. Be sure to call me at least one to two weeks in advance if you want portraits done. At this time, I am still only shooting sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.

Staci and Justin

Here's a photo of Staci and Justin from their engagement session today. They have their wedding date set for October 7. You can tell from this image that Justin has a sense of humor that keeps Staci laughing!

17 1/2 hours and counting ...

The minutes slowly tick by as I anxiously await for vacation from the 'other job'...no make that the 'job'. I planned to head down to Florida for two days to see my great niece and nephew, almost 3 and 4 years wise! I've never seen them and if I do brave the idea of flying down there, I'm heading to the beach with them! The last time I was in Florida, I was single, oh, 19 or so and in Navy boot camp in Orlando. I love the ocean and can't believe I live in the middle of the country. It's punishment I tell ya! But, Oklahoma is a great state to live in.
Meanwhile, this week will be spent catching up on proofing Shelly and Justin's wedding images, revamping my studio, working on a book project and oh, yes, doing laundry.
I also hope to see some local seniors at my studio to set up Senior Portrait sessions for September and October. Very excited about that. Seniors are so much fun! Will post more on that tomorrow evening.
I'd add a photo except I can't get them to upload all of a sudden!

Upcoming vacation from my day job!

Whoohoo! I'm getting vacation finally, from my job at the paper. Why would you care? Well, that means I'll have more time to do portraits - at the studio, at the park, etc...So call me today to schedule a session. I'll also be at the studio more over the next couple weeks beginning Thursday. I'm giving it a new look that will be more in keeping with Marlow's historic downtown district. And I'll be busy painting new backdrops for senior photos!

Seniors in Marlow, Bray-Doyle, Central High, Duncan, Rush Springs, Empire and Velma-Alma - now is the time to start thinking about your photos! Choose me as your portrait photographer (not yearbook) and I'll go the distance to create a memorable session with images you and your parents would be proud of. And I have plenty of new offerings for wallet images that you might not be able to get even at larger studios where you'd pay two to four times more than my session fees.

Creative overdrive!

I'm in Creative Overdrive these days. That just sounds better than 'insomnia victim' ... I've been trying for months to come up with a card that I like for marketing purposes. Either I'm just too picky or I like them all! One week it might be the color I want to change ... the next week, it would be the font. I'm trying with no luck to post an image and it just won't go.
I hope to get my name out there more so if you need portraits, please call me! I'm anxious to do more weddings!

A beautiful wedding

Here's a sneak peek at some of my favorites from Shelly and Justin's wedding on Saturday. Even the heat couldn't dampen the spirits of everyone and it was obvious that romance was the winner. At 8 p.m. it was still extremely hot, but as the sun went down beyond the horizon, I captured my two all-time favorite images!
I'm partial to August weddings. That's because my husband and I married in August -- the 1st to be exact ... a few years ago ... not telling!

My online gallery...

I'm working on a full-fledged site, but for now, I post sessions in an online gallery: http://tphotos.smugmug.com Go check it out...from newborns to engagements, fine art and flowers, there's surely something you'll enjoy looking at! I still have openings for weddings for this year. And don't forget, I still do newborns, seniors and pet sessions!

Session with a flat tire...

Studio session of one of my son's friends and then as we headed outside to leave, noticed I had a flat tire. So, we took advantage of evening light, no downtown traffic, etc... and got some great images outdoors! Here's one from inside and one from outside my Blue Moon Gallery studio on Second St. in Marlow's historic downtown district.
