In the mood to blog tonight, so here's a few of my favorites from recent senior sessions.

Awards & Exhibits & Displays

2010-2011, Images on display at the Chisholm Trail Arts Council Community Fine Arts Center/Gallery; Prairie Rose Boutique & Gifts, Eclectic Echo and Michele Johnson's Insurance Agency all in historic Main Street Duncan
2010 Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, 1st Solo Exhibit featuring the Oklahoma Centennial 2007 Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive which included three images that earned a Professional 1st Place in the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center's 2008 photography contest. CTHC is one of True West magazine's top 10 museums in the country. During my solo exhibit, Donna Howell-Sickles and a Lonesome Dove photography display were also featured in the museum and its Garis Art Gallery.
2009 Waurika Juried Arts Show: Professional division, 3rd place for "Weathered Barn"; judged by Danny Bills, curator for Wichita Falls Museum of Art
2008 Waurika Juried Arts Show: Professional Photography division, 'Purple Beauty'; judged by Dr. Andrew Phelan (OU)
Stephens County Fair 2008: Photography, 1st Place, Adult, Portrait, 'Mya"; 3rd Place, Plant life, "Botanical Study in Black and White"; 3rd place in Oklahoma Photography B/W: 'Cowboy's Pledge'
Associated Press - General News Reporting Division B Second Place for "Fateful Fire" in The Duncan Banner 2007
Best of CNHI - Div. II Features Writer of the Year Finalist for 2007 articles *Only a winner and a finalist were chosen in each category if entries were deemed worthy. This was a corporate wide contest for news staff employed at CNHI newspapers and a tough contest.
